Who should enroll?
Individuals with work experience from any industry or Masters or
Doctoral-level students, including those considering mid-level to
advanced career opportunities leading growth in the life sciences,
and current employees in the life sciences seeking a higher level
and/or entrepreneurial position. This program will be a valuable
learning experience for Life science professionals seeking to
enhance their productivity and opportunity for success in the
corporate environment.
Program Overview:
This program offers a mid-level introduction to the life sciences
industry and its unique elements, providing individuals an
opportunity to explore career options at the middle and
advanced levels in this growing sector. Topics include:
Product development and regulatory affairs, management issues
and biosciences business environment, corporate culture and
career development, innovation and start-up business challenges,
and business plan development.
What results should you expect?
Participants who complete this program will be better prepared to
compete in the Bioscience job market.
Industry professionals will have the understanding necessary to
contribute more effectively to corporate goals.
Instructor:
Eric Cornavaca, Cofounder and Partner, Buffalo BioSciences (BBS).
Mr. Cornavaca is an accomplished business management
executive with a strong background in technology who has
attained progressively increased responsibilities in biotech,
and pharmaceutical companies. Buffalo BioSciences is a
strategic management services company targeted on the
BioScience marketplace.
Cost:
$249 per participant. This fee includes course notebook
and all related instructional materials. Organizations
registering 5 or more participants are entitled to a reduced fee.

Certificate Program Requirements:
The Becoming a Leader in the Life Sciences Certificate
program consists of eight, two and a half hour
seminars that are required to complete certificate requirements.
UB Certificates of Completion and 2.0 Continuing Education
Units (CEU’s) will be awarded to students who
successfully complete the entire sequence of seminars.
